There are two main components of Mind’s Workplace Wellbeing Index: an employer assessment and a staff survey.
The employer assessment (open from September – December 2018) will assess the policies, practices, procedures and initiatives in place in the organisation. As part of Level 2 and 3 participation we conduct a comprehensive review of your organisational policies, providing feedback on each policy you submit to us. The survey is in-depth and you will be asked to submit supporting documentation to evidence your answers in this survey. Examples of evidence could be a policy or statement, photo from an event or minutes from a meeting. We will send you a comprehensive ‘Welcome Pack’ which includes tips and hints and resources to help you in completing this. We would suggest allowing two to three working days to complete the employer survey.
The staff survey (open from September - December 2018) will take 10-15 minutes to complete. We suggest you keep the survey open to staff for a 3-4 week period over this time. It enables staff to feedback on the initiatives, policies and practices in place as well as how they feel supported in terms of their wellbeing. This helps us provide a gap analysis to employers to let them know what is working and what’s not from the perspective of staff. The surveys can be taken on PC, mobile phones and tablets.
As a large organisation, you may want to consider piloting the Index with a specific department for your first year and then rolling this out to other areas.
