The Student Has Become the Master
At the end of your content preparation you may want to invite readers to leave their details behind to receive follow up content or a sales call. The perfect time to add a lead form to grab peoples attention and details.
Through our integration with Eloqua at Cisco it's really simple to create a great looking bespoke form for embedding into your Story, just follow these steps for creation and implementation into Turtl - Cisco specific instructions here - from here drop into your Story settings and paste the URL into the Story form tab.
In line with the bespoke form creation above, not only can you add it to the back of your Story, there is also functionality to gate your Story part way through - just click the switch at the Immerse Editor level labelled 'require sign up' - your content will be gated on all pages from that point onwards.
Top Tip: If you're trying to drive sign ups utilising your thought leadership, give gating a try.
Although a wonderful way to earn some great organic traffic, not all Stories are applicable for social sharing. Luckily through the Story settings drop down, we have a master switch to toggle social sharing on or off across all of the Story.
If you'd like social sharing to remain on, each widget also has a switch to toggle individual widget sharing functionality on or off - a great way to manage the readers ability to share.
Ever noticed the small mobile icon at the top right of the editor page? This is a key method of ensuring your content looks great in landscape/desktop Story mode but also on Mobile. A quick click will render a preview on mobile to ensure your content is looking it's best across all platforms.
The Surf page image is also completely editable to work with a mobile screen - just recrop your image and grab the view pane in real time.
Top Tip: The mobile view flows a little differently to the desktop preview; pins and column formats rules aren't adhered to. The mobile Story flows as the editor in a linear fashion.
Every widget which is available for embedding within your Story can be labelled. Often hidden away in 'Misc', a great habit is to label all of your widgets which you embed into your Story. When it comes to analysing the interaction and engagement of your Story in question, a labelled widget is much easier to pin back to analysis than a default image or link address.
Cisco and Turtl have spent a lot of time integrating the Cisco Turtl hub and migrating it to https://ebooks.cisco.com. By having everything under the 'ebooks' domain name, Stories will be better visible when using search engines and will help more organic traffic be driven directly to the master Cisco.com - more info can also be found here .
Within settings and as part of the publish workflow, you're also able to amend the publish URL to a bespoke and unique URL name of your choice. As above, this will help to drive traffic through search engines for live public content by adding keywords into the URL, helping with search engine indexing.
Don't forget, we have an extensive knowledge base of useful articles surrounding all of the functionality on the platform at http://support.turtl.co/ as well as the Customer Success and Support team -

This one makes us proud the team have been working tirelessly to pull together our most innovative update yet. Through pinning widgets, we now offer the functionality of being able to hover, drag, resize and drop the widgets into any available space or size. We've also made it even more intuitive to stack pinned items to allow some incredible looking immerse pages.
Not only will your immerse pages look incredible through the additional functionality, another of our key pillars of our platform is the ability to streamline efficiency of content creation and we believe this functionality will help you to speed through content creation, without any compromise on the highest quality content
